About Me

Inspiring a love of literature through story-based learning and exploration.

I’m Heather, a longtime homeschool mom of six, five still learning at home and one who’s graduated.  Over the past thirteen years, our homeschool had been built around a love of timeless stories.  Classic literature became more than just our curriculum; it became the foundation of how we learned, connected and grew together.

Through the pages of well-loved books, my children and I discovered heroes worth admiring, characters who showed us how not to be.  We wrestled with big ideas like good and evil, courage and kindness, and truth and beauty.  These stories shaped not just their education, but our family culture.

Tinker Book Club was born of that experience.  It’s a place to share the joy and depth of learning through stories.  My hope is to make it easy for families to slow down, gather around a good book, and spark meaningful conversations that last long after the final chapter.
